87 distilleries behind the bottles here. Most are family firms working in one prefecture, several have been at it since the nineteenth century, and a few are not in Japan at all.

15 of these have a link to their own site. A producer is linked only where a page on their own domain was actually read while researching one of their bottles, because guessing a domain from a company name is right most of the time and sends readers to a squatter the rest of it.
