Privacy
This is a small site run by a restaurant. It collects very little, and this page says exactly what, in the same plain terms as everything else here.
Analytics
Google Analytics counts visits and records which pages are read, which bottles are searched for, and which outbound links are followed. It sets cookies and it is the only reason cookies exist here at all when ads are off. We look at it in aggregate. We have never tried to work out who an individual reader is, and the data would not support it if we did.
Advertising
There are none. If that changes, this page changes with it, and ads will be labelled as ads.
If you post a note
Posting a tasting note is the one place you hand over something identifying. Signing in with Google gives us an account identifier and the display name you have set; we do not receive your password and we do not ask Google for your contacts, calendar or anything else. We also store the IP address the note was sent from, which is there to stop one person flooding the site and for nothing else. Your note and your display name are public. Ask us and we will delete a note and the record behind it.
Links off this site
Recipes, producers and shops are all somebody else's site, with their own policies. We record that a link was followed and which kind it was. We do not follow you there and we have no idea what you do once you arrive.
Asking us anything
Deletion, corrections, or a question about any of the above: get in touch.
